SUNDAY SCHOOL AT WALT'S HOUSE

"Bring the little children to me" ~Jesus~

children. walt's house sees children as an integral part of our family. they are not only the future of the church but add so much to it in the present. that is why we have something for every young person from infancy up to grade 5 (once they enter grade 6 they become "youth"). we have 6 staff members whose job it is to guide and protect the young people in this family. we take the business of educating children very seriously!

rotation. we operate on a rotation model so that children with various learning styles can find something that suits them. each week the grades visit different workshops and learn about the Bible story of the month. one workshop may include baking, then the next week they may be off to the drama workshop, or crafts, or storytellers, or games, the list goes on and on. we hope to encourage the children to learn these stories in ways that they can enjoy and that make sense to them. we want to build a happy and safe environment to play, learn and meet new friends. it is our goal for these young people to grow up healthy and remember their sunday school fondly as a wonderful time of laughter, learning and fun.

creativity. to prove that we believe in the blessings of our children we have several ways in which they can participate in the worship here at walt's house. one of our most popular attractions is for the children to join the jr. choir. this choir leads the congregation in some beautiful and uplifting songs frequently throughout the year during the 9.30am service. another new addition has been the walton theatre guild which puts on plays and productions and even shoots short movies throughout the year. using drama in worship has been a fun alternative way of getting the message of the Bible across and has been incredibly popular with our sunday schoolers and youth.
